I am just completing my studies at Malvern School of Art for a Diploma in Fine Art & Contemporary Craft.  My final assignment: "Me & My Massey," came from a starting point of looking at the rust and decay on my tractor, which led to my fascination of rust and in turn lichens; the colours, the textures, the images you can see in the patterns, I don't seem to bore of looking at the abstractness.

During "Lockdown" 2020, I have created this website as a showcase for my photographs, my found objects, my video and audio files and my collages, which would have been part of a summer exhibition.  All my photographs are taken on my iphone or ipad, as they are convenient and easy to carry around and to transfer and use in the digital world.  I take pride in not having altered the images in my galleries, they are not cropped or filtered, they are shown as they were taken.  This page and the home page are the exception:  I want to explore new technology and so have tried some different effects.

I have also experimented with collage over the last eighteen months, I enjoy collecting images, papers and objects on my travels.  I try to include these in my work and develop ideas from these, I am interested in printing, and using inks, waxes and acrylics in a mixed media approach.

I previously worked in broadcast television as a director and producer making and filming documentaries.  After a fifteen year break, this new work has allowed me to explore my re-emerging creativity, looking at the world around me in a new light. I live in the most glorious countryside on the borders of Herefordshire, Worcestershire & Gloucestershire, with my partner and two children and a menagerie of horses, dogs, cats ducks and chickens - it is has a rich collection of rust and lichen on a farm that is fighting to become overgrown!
